TENZA Started Upgrading the District Heating System in Liberec
In June TENZA, a.s., started working on the upgrading of the district heating system in Liberec consisting in replacing the obsolete steam network with more energy-efficient hot water systems.
Representatives of all participating companies and institutions were present at the groundbreaking ceremony.
Liberecká teplárna supplies heat to more than 14,000 households primarily in the housing estates. The upgrade concerns the first of three branches of the heat distribution network leading through densely built-up areas of Pavlovice, Ruprechtice, and the city centre. Currently excavation work is carried out, the existing steam piping is being uninstalled and new hot-water pre-insulated piping is being laid. The inhabitants can temporarily use mobile heat sources for the production of hot water. The project worth CZK 259 m should be completed at the beginning of 2020.
